You Take Control- Homework !

We had to take 5 photographs, 5 different objects in 5 different locations with different aperture and shutter speed. I had to use the manual settings on the camera (not used this before). In each photo a person or part of a person had to be present.

These are my photos pre photo shop..

                                                              PILLAR BOX RED !!!

This photo was taken in :- ISO 100
                                                                                               1/15
                                                                                               F8.0
I enjoyed taking this photo as you don't see many of these around any more, I took the photo to the side as i got more detail, i took one looking straight on but the detail was not so good. The sun was right behind the box and very bright so i put the iso down to 100 and changed the other setting.  The box is not as bring as i would have liked it to have been..

TIEING THE KNOT !!!

This photo was taken in:- ISO 800
                                    1/320

This photo was taken in:-  ISO 400
                                     1/800
                                   F4.5
I took this photo in the evening, i think the darkness of the photo draws your attention to the face and the dummy in his mouth .

FEET FIRST !!!

This photo was taken in :-    ISO 400
                                     1/4
                                       F5.6
This was something different the focus on the tractor was not as good as i would have liked it to be but the legs and feet are just right (i think)

                                                                    FAST MOVER !!!

This photo was taken in :- ISO  80
                                                                                           1/25
                                                                                           F8.0
The sense of movement makes this photo stand out to me the bring red of the wellies out !

IN THE GARDEN !!

This was taken in :-  ISO 200
                           1/20
                            F7.1

The flower in this picture is bright and stands out, i would have liked the back ground to have been out of focus but i don't know how to do that yet ! Would this have worked ??

UP TO THE SKY !!

This photo is taken in :- ISO 200
                                1/20

GOING SHOOTING!!!

                                  1/30
                                  F3.5

I know i have taken 8 photos not 5  (i can count) but some of the pictures are taken on the same settings, and did not know what it would look like once i have cropped them to 8 x 8.

Rural Picures

Another photographer i have decided to study is Ruth Downing from Rural Pictures, i like her work as it as local to where i live, her pictures are all natural and i like the way you feel part of the photo

With this photo is fun with the baby lamb, i also like the back wall as it is a traditional part of the peak district.

This photo is the cows in the morning, with the frost on the ground.

I like this photo as the back ground is out of focus, and it draws your attention to the sheep. The two bushes in the background seem to frame the photo.

(Above) I love this photo it looks so pretty, the reflection is so perfect and clear.

(Below) I have chosen this photo as i enjoy photographing animals, Doug Houghton has captured the cows as well as the back ground, The landscape is very green but the blue of the water stands out and draws your eye to it. (as well as the cow)

I have decided to study nature for my course, i have been looking at photographers and one that i really like is Doug Houghton, i like that his photos as they are natural and very clear and different, they capture the animals and the landscape all at the same time..
